The Lord of the Rings used many, groundbreaking practical and digital visual effects, in its time. And with there being a total of around 3,420 effects shots throughout the trilogy (including the extended cuts), it required the work of around 260 visual effects artists. But, with so much work and such huge amounts of detail in the scenes, some small things either get missed, forgotten or just left for people like us to come along and point them all out to you.
