Marketed around The Invasion, one of the biggest storylines detailing the purchase of the WCW by the WWF, Team Alliance (Steve Austin, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Shane McMahon, and Kurt Angle) teamed up to battle Team WWF (The Big Show, The Rock, Kane, The Undertaker, and Chris Jericho) in the 2001 Survivor Series match. The teams were strong and powerful and there was a lot at stake, since the losing team would be forced to be unbranded. Team WWF took home the win in the 5-on-5 match, stripping The Rock of his WCW Championship.
