4. Jimmy Walker’s “DY-NO-MITE!” Becomes Dynamite
Speaking of catchphrases that caused “war” on-set, “Dy-no-mite” was such a fan favorite that in the 21 – 27 August 2005 issue of TV Guide’s list of “TV’s 20 Top Catchphrases,” Jimmie Walker’s came in at #14. A spin-off of the catchphrase was the popular children’s magazine “Dynamite,” published from 1974 to 1992. Its “godfather” Walker graced the April 1975 cover.
