FX’s series puts the focus on mental illness. In the series, David Haller — no word on whether or not he’s still got his famous daddy — was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder at a young age and committed to an institution. Though he possesses several psychic abilities, he’s been led to believe that they’re manifestations of his insanity more than anything else.
