Usher’s Latest “Confession” Will Definitely Shock Fans

These are my confessions…The R&B superstar tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Grace Miguel in a secret ceremony earlier this month.

It was reported that the couple secretly wed prior to jetting off to Cuba for their honeymoon over Labor Day weekend.

According to an insider, the duo had planned on marrying in a small ceremony in front of 100 guests in Atlanta, but at the last minute the pair decided to elope. Following their secret nuptials, the newlyweds celebrated their honeymoon in Havana.

Here’s a little bit about Usher’s new wife. Grace Miguel, a native of Brooklyn, started off her career in the entertainment industry working as an executive chef on the set of The Cosby Show. When the show came to an end, she decided to try working in PR.

Miguel said, “When the show ended in 1992, I knew it was time for a complete change. I had a passion for bringing people together and was socially immersed in the creative scene. I knew a lot of great photographers, musicians and artists so it only made sense for me to transition to music.”

Usher and Grace began dating in 2009, although he was still legally married to his ex-wife Tameka Raymond. Their divorce was finalized in November 2009. Things got messy between the two women, especially because kids were involved, but today they’re cordial.

Aside from being his partner, Grace Miguel is also the R&B star’s manager. In 2014, Usher gushed about their relationship during an interview with Billboard magazine –

“I have an incredible partner and manager. She has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life and my career. She’s someone who’s been able to support and understand all of who I am. Not just as a dancer or as a performer or as a singer, but as a humanitarian and a business man and as a person.”

He went on to say,

“One thing that has come from having a great partner like Grace is being able to cherish the places that I’ve gone. We see the monumental sites, go to the museums, eat in the best restaurants. I’m that guy now! In the past I’d do what I have to do and get on the bus to the next city. Life has become a vacation.”
