The Tonight Show has put on pause to allow Jimmy Fallon some time to mourn the loss of his mother. Gloria died at the age of 68 on Saturday. Jimmy’s live shows will be postponed and repeats will be airing in their place until he returns.
Gloria was in the audience for Jimmy’s first day on the show back in 2014. NBC released a statement about the situation.
“On behalf of everyone at NBC, we extend our deepest condolences to Jimmy and all his family at this time of enormous loss. Our hearts go out to Jimmy and everyone else whose lives were so touched by Gloria Fallon’s love, kindness and support.”
Miley Cyrus is one celeb who has publicly reached out to Jimmy to show her support. The star recently held a residency on the show and undoubtedly built a friendship with Jimmy in that time. Miley posted to Twitter to share her support.
