Richard Branson’s private island has reportedly been hit hard by Hurricane Irma. The billionaire hid out in his cellar while the storm passed and has started posting blog posts about the experience from the help of a satellite phone.
“I have never seen anything like this hurricane. Necker and the whole area have been completely and utterly devastated. We are still assessing the damage, but whole houses and trees have disappeared. Outside of the bunker, bathroom and bedroom doors and windows have flown 40 feet away.”
He went on to explain that all of his team members remained safe throughout the incident.
Richard’s son has also been posted to social media to share images of the devastation.
