Pretty Little Liars just wrapped up its final season, but a pilot called Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists has already been picked up by Freeform.
The show is based on Sara Shepard’s book and is being adapted by Marlene King who was the showrunner on PLL. The project has been in development since 2014, and both Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish will reprise their characters for the spin-off show.
Freeform describes the show as follows:
“Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be. The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town’s first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi.”
