The reboot of Queer Eye was nominated for Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program, Outstanding Cinematography for a Reality Program, as well as Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured or Competition Reality Program. It will be going up against PBS’ Antiques Roadshow, HGTV’s Fixer Upper, Paramount Network’s Lip Sync Battle, ABC’s Shark Tank, and TLC’s Who Do You Think You Are?
The show initially aired as Queer Eye for the Straight Guy in 2003, which was nominated and ended up winning the Emmy for Best Reality Show at the show. The reboot is similar in format and structure, but with different hosts and some other updates. Clearly the reboot has been well recieved by old fans and new viewers alike.
