Janet Jackson Confirms that She’s Expecting Her First Child

Janet Jackson has officially confirmed that she is expecting her first child at the age of 50. There has been speculation that Janet was pregnant since she postponed her tour in April with the intention of focusing on family planning.

At the time Janet shared with her fans “I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. Please if you can try and understand that its important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders.”

Janet and her husband Wissam al-Mana have now confirmed to People magazine that they are expecting, which was done with a photoshoot of Janet showing off her baby bump. The photo is captioned “We thank God for our blessing.”

Janet married billionaire Wissam in 2012, making him her third husband. Since first announcing that she and her husband were in fact trying to start a family Janet has kept a relatively low profile, but she was spotted recently shopping at a baby store in London.

A source close to Janet said that “She is super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well. She actually feels very good about everything.”
