He voted for Obama, but don’t expect the Atlanta native to support another minority in office this time around.
T.I. has made it quite clear that he will not be voting for Hillary Clinton, or any woman for that matter, in the upcoming 2016 election.
In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid over the weekend, the “No Mediocre” rapper stated:
“Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman. Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But, the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke.”
Wow, we just lost tons of respect for the 35-year-old music superstar. What is this, the 1950s? Women are too emotional to hold a position of power? But, Tip didn’t end there.
He continued his sexiest tirade saying:
“Other leaders will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to get the Loch Ness Monster elected before a woman. It’s not right, but I’m just saying…”
So, who does T.I. consider to be a favorable presidential candidate? Well, although he respects Trump’s business mindedness, he said, “And I do feel that if he is sincerely concerned about the economy of America and the working public, he would be the best person to flip the money that we have, take it and flip it.”
The rapper states that he wont be putting the Donald’s name on the ballot either, saying, “His racist remarks, all of his off-color statements, it makes it impossible to be, like, completely supportive of him.”
T.I. has since apologized for his brash comments on Twitter: “My comments about women running for president were unequivocally insensitive and wrong. I sincerely apologize to everyone I offended.”
But do you accept his apology? Those are some pretty powerful words that he’s trying to rescind. Leave your comments below.
