Beyonce has officially been announced as the 2018 Coachella headliner. It was an expected move after the star pulled out last year due to doctor’s orders due to her pregnancy with twins. Beyonce gave birth to Sir and Rumi in June and is now prepping for the show in April.

Other headliners include The Weeknd and Eminem. Some of the other announced acts at Coachella include Migos, Chromeo, Kygo, St. Vincent, Cardi B, French Montana, and Miguel. The annual event is held over two weekends in the Indio. The lineup was announced this week with ticket sales going live on Friday.

Last year when Beyonce was forced to pull out, Lady Gaga stepped in as her replacement. This will be her first return to the stage since the babies were born. When Beyonce takes the stage as a headliner on Saturday she will become the first black woman to have done so.

Eminem has not performed at Coachella since 2012. He was recently announced as a performer at the Governor’s Ball as well, so it seems likely that he is hitting the road for some press following the release of his album Revival. Overall, it seems like rap and hip-hop have become the top billing options at the show, which used to feature top acts like Jack Johnson. There will be a variety of newer acts that are pretty diverse, including New Orleans funk band Tank and The Bangas, and Latin acts such as Princess Nokia, The Marias, and Señor Kino. 1990’s star Jamiroquai will also be performing at Coachella for the first time.

Coachella 2018 will take place over the weekends of April 13-15 and 20-22.
