Every year, the limited edition Pirelli calendar causes a buzz throughout Hollywood as people clamor to get their hands on the star-studded affair. In 2016, photographer Annie Leibovitz has been chosen to curate the world’s most famous calendar and she’s already causing a stir with her provocative choices.
Early this morning, 2015’s It Funny Woman, Amy Schumer, unveiled via Twitter the photo that Leibovitz has chosen for December of next year:

Schumer’s pose marks an editorial shift for the Pirelli calendar. Typically, the trade calendar is stocked with artistic shots of the most stunningly beautiful women in the world. Under the guidance of Annie Leibovitz, however, the 2016 Pirelli calendar has instead been created around women who are both beautiful and accomplished. In addition to Schumer, this year’s calendar will include Yoko Ono, power producer Kathleen Kennedy and Selma director Ava DuVernay.
Schumer’s shot is just the first glimpse at the annual exercise in taste, but if her candid, caffeine-fueled pose is any indication, this year’s installment may be the most intriguing yet.
