Perhaps the real message of The Imitation Game is that genius comes in all shapes and sizes. The Imitation Game is partly the story of Alan Turing’s miraculous brain and partly the incredible social torment the closeted homosexual faced on a daily basis. The Imitation Game may not have a happy ending, but Turing’s cautionary tale reminds audiences that genius is precious and stamped out with shocking ease.
