9. They survived “Deflategate”
In 2015 Tom was involved in a scandal dubbed Deflategate where he and some other members of the Patriots team had intentionally deflated some footballs during the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. Tom risked suspension, and naturally there was a bit of stress accompanying the situation. But they made it through, and Tom’s position was saved.
