10 Stars Who Were Teenage Brides (Plus One Bridegroom)

The average person doesn’t marry when they’re still a growing teenager, but it sure seems like a lot of celebrities have done just that. Then again, a lot of stars are not living average lives up to that point, since actors grow up pretty quickly in the spotlight. Here are some of the most famous youngsters whose wedding dates made them teenage brides, and one actor who was a teenage bridegroom. All but one of these young unions ended in divorce, so consider it a cautionary tale.

1. Olivia Wilde

When Olivia Wilde was just 19 she married Tao Ruspoli, who is the son of an Italian prince. They got married in a secret ceremony in a school bus, but the teenage fairy tale didn’t last and they divorced in 2011. These days she’s engaged to actor Jason Sudeikis and the couple have one child.

2. Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore was actually engaged three times before her teen years were over. The first engagement was to Leland Hayward when she was only 16, the second was to actor Jamie Walters, and the third was to a bartender named Jeremy Thomas who she actually married. That marriage didn’t last however, and was over after only two months. After a brief marriage to Tom Green, she is now happily wed to Will Kopelman and has two young daughters.

3. Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian has been married a couple times, one of which took place way before the general public was Keeping Up With the Kardashians. When Kim was 19 she married music producer Damon Thomas, which lasted until he filed for divorce three years later. She later married basketball player Kris Humphries for all of 72 days, and now is expecting her second child with third husband Kanye West.
