The Good Doctor received the greenlight for a second season after its 2017 debut drew in 17.9 million average viewers. At this point, it’s pretty obvious that viewers are absolutely obsessed with Freddie Highmore (Shaun Murphy) and his portrayal of a young, savant surgeon with autism.
