7. Tommy Lee Jones and Al Gore
Actor Tommy Lee Jones and former Vice President Al Gore were randomly assigned to be roommates at Harvard in 1965. The two became close friends over their four years of study and they even started a country music band together. Their friendship is still going strong today. Jones spoke at the 2000 Democratic National Convention when Gore’s candidacy for President was announced.
