Living in a star-studded neighborhood isn’t as glamorous as it seems. Just ask these neighbors. From wild parties to reckless driving to impromptu dance rehearsals, living next to celebs can be a real headache. These are the eight worst celebrity neighbors of all time. Who would you be calling the homeowners association for?

1. Miley Cyrus

Steve Carrell hated being neighbors with party girl Miley Cyrus. He disapproved of her reckless driving around the neighborhood and her wild parties. Miley has even witnessed Carrell’s disappointment saying, “The other day I was trying to reverse and I almost hit a thousand things, and I was getting nervous because I could see him going” – she demonstrated a disappointed parental sigh. “I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, Dan in Real Life is watching me right now!'” If Cyrus throws parties like the ones she depicts in her music videos we can’t imagine what it’s like to live next door.

2. Justin Bieber

It’s no surprise that JB makes our list as one of the worst celebrity neighbors. In 2014 alone, he egged one of his neighbor’s homes, causing thousands of dollars in damage, spit in a neighbor’s face, smoked pot in the backyard, drove recklessly around the Calabasas neighborhood in his fancy cars and threw wild house parties which resulted in many noise complaints. Bieber was actually voted “Worst Celebrity Neighbor” of 2014, according to a Zillow survey.

3. Matthew McConaughey

Remember that time McConaughey was caught by Austin police for playing his bongos in the nude? Many neighbors used to make similar complaints, saying the American Hustle actor would have his music blaring and playing drums at all hours of the night. That certainly qualifies him as one of the worst celebrity neighbors.

4. Anthony Michael Hall

The Foxcatcher actor was arrested in 2011 for disturbing the peace at his Westside L.A. condominium complex. The dispute between Hall and a neighbor began when the 80’s star had a fit and started ripping up plants in the condominium’s common area. When the neighbor questioned Hall, he began cursing at the other resident and threatened to “beat him to a pulp.” Hall later knocked on the neighbor’s door and invited him to a street fight.

5. Chris Brown

Brown took his artistic expression to a whole new level when he had the outside curb of his Hollywood Hills home painted with monster graffiti. His neighbors complained that the artwork scared the local children and reported him to the city council. Brown was ordered to remove the “monster’s ink” and later tweeted his disdain, saying, “Keep em inside then! It’s art. There are scarier creatures on Harry potter. Get a f*cking life!”

6. Madonna

Madonna’s NYC apartment doubled as a dance studio, so it’s no surprise that her downstairs neighbor was less than pleased. In 2009, Karen George sued Madonna for all the noise and wall-rattling that came with hours of daily rehearsal. George claimed she was subjected to “blaring music, stomping and shaking walls” for up to three hours a day. The “Material Girl” eventually made peace with George and the lawsuit was settled out of court.

7. Lenny Kravitz

The R&B musician caused lots of damage to his downstairs neighbor’s apartment in 2004. Kravitz’s insurance company reportedly had to pay $334,000 to the resident beneath after an overflowing toilet that was “blocked, clogged and congested with various materials” flooded the neighbor’s apartment ruining flooring and furniture.

8. Hulk Hogan

The WWE star practically had a zoo at his Belleair, Florida home. Back in 2005, the head of his homeowner’s association complained to town officials about the “dogs, rabbits, ferrets, chickens and roosters” that cause “loud and frequent noise and an unsanitary stench” at the Hogan residence. Luckily for his neighbors, Hogan sold the house in 2012. We wouldn’t want to mess with the Hulk.
