9. Efforts Are Still Ongoing
The concert on October 21 wasn’t the beginning or the end of the One America Appeal for Hurricane Relief, which has committed itself to continuing support for the victims in Puerto Rico. Between the initiation of the One America Appeal on September 7 and the beginning of the concert proper, the fundraising effort raked in more than $30 million to help the people in Puerto Rico. An additional $2.6 million has been gathered for the hurricane relief effort since the concert ended. It’s still possible to donate, which means that counter is climbing steadily.
