She said of the incident, “I prayed as hard as I’ve ever prayed for anything ever in my life,” and after showing him a little compassion, he let her go. She attended a service at the Hollywood United Methodist Church a few days after the attack and found great solace through the camaraderie and support of her fellow parishioners.
