12 Well Known Stars Who Have a Twin

Some stars who have a twin work closely with their sibling in the entertainment industry. Others have non-famous brothers and sisters who prefer to stay away from the limelight. In some instances one twin has become more famous than the other and in other cases the non-famous twin has used their sibling’s fame to reach their own success.

1. Scarlett and Hunter Johansson

You may be surprised to find out that one of the world’s most beautiful women actually has a male counterpart. The Lucy star is only three minutes older than her twin brother, Hunter, but he’s a foot taller. Hunter works in politics rather than Hollywood. He worked on both of Obama’s campaigns. The successful siblings support each other and enjoy attending one another’s events.

2. Gisele and Patricia Bundchen

Before the Brazilian supermodel married Tom Brady, she was living in South America with five sisters, Gabi, Raquel, Graziela, Rafaela and her fraternal twin, Patricia. Gisele and her twin moved to the US in 1993 to pursue modelling, but Gisele was the sister to really make it in the industry. Today, she’s the highest paid supermodel in the world.

3. Ashton and Michael Kutcher

Did you know that the hunky Two and a Half Men actor has a twin? Yes, Mila Kunis’ beau has a fraternal twin brother named Michael. Michael, who was born with cerebral palsy and a rare heart condition, says that he considers Ashton to be his best friend. Before making it big, Ashton enrolled in the University of Iowa to study biochemical engineering in hopes of finding a cure for his brother’s condition. Michael realizes that being Ashton Kutcher’s brother gives him the opportunity to be a voice for cerebral palsy.

4. Tia and Tamara Mowry

Twin sisters Tia and Tamara have been in the spotlight since they were young. The identical twins were stars in the 90s on Disney’s hit show, Sister, Sister. Tia and Tamara went on to star Twitches and Twitches Too. Recently, the Mowry sisters had their own reality series on the Style network chronicling Tia’s pregnancy and Tamara’s wedding.

5. Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen

Ashley and Mary-Kate first made a name for themselves when they starred on the 90s family sitcom, Full House. Then, they created their own empire Dualstar and made a number of movies throughout the 90s and into the early 2000s. Today, Mary-Kate and Ashley have their own fashion lines named The Row and Elizabeth & James, named after their younger siblings, Elizabeth and James Olsen.

6. Dylan and Cole Sprouse

The Sprouses are another set of twins who got their start on the Disney Channel. Dylan and Cole Sprouse starred in their own series, The Suite Life of Zach and Cody for four seasons, they went on to star in the shipboard spin-off series, The Suite Life on Deck for another three years. Today, the 22-years old twins are enrolled in New York University.

7. Jeremy and Jason London

Once known as Hollywood’s bad boys, both London brothers have starred in cult classics, but have also had run ins with the law. Jason was featured in 1993’s hit, Dazed and Confused, while Jeremy starred in the family drama, 7th Heaven, Mallrats and Party of Five. Jeremy was cast on the fourth season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew to fight his addiction to alcohol and amphetamines. In 2013, Jason was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct in Scottsdale, Arizona. Both brothers haven’t had work in the industry since 2013.

8. Linda and Leslie Hamilton

Linda Hamilton is best remembered for her portrayal of Sarah Connor in the Terminator franchise. She also had a reoccurring role on NBC’s Chuck from 2010-2012, but I bet you didn’t know that Linda has an identical twin sister named Leslie. Leslie often filled in as a stunt double during the filming of the blockbuster series.

9. Giovanni and Marissa Ribisi

Fraternal twins, Giovanni and Marissa Ribisi were raised as Scientologists in Los Angeles. Both siblings have had successful acting careers. Giovanni is best known for his roles in Friends, Avatar, The Virgin Suicides and Gone in 60 Seconds. His sister Marissa has starred in films like Dazed and Confused, True Crime, Pleasantville and television shows such as Felicity, Grace Under Fire and Tales of the City.

The Fast and Furious star was born Mark Sinclair Vincent. He shortened his surname to create his stage name, Vin, and Diesel was added because his friends say he ran off diesel fuel, meaning he had non-stop energy. Vin’s fraternal twin brother Paul also works in the movie industry as a film editor.
