Hendry rocked Hollywood when she became the first African-American to become romantically involved with 007. Although Trina Parks who played a nemesis to Bond rather than a love interest in Diamonds Are Forever (1971) is considered to be the first African-American Bond girl. The 66-year-old New York native starred alongside Jane Seymour in Live and Let Die. She played kickass CIA agent, Rosie Carver.
