The VFX in Star Wars movies have come a long way. Ever since the first movie ‘A New Hope’ the Star Wars franchise has been known for it’s clever uses of practical FX. Some so groundbreaking it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that the ATAT’s were actually dogs dressed up as ATAT in front of a green screen.
But since the “good ol’ days” computer technology and CGI has come a long way and allowed for some even more impressive VFX. Like, for example, completely reconstructing Grand Moff Tarkin’s face.
