Caitlyn Jenner Didn’t Trust the Kardashians to Keep the Secret About Her Gender Reassignment

Apparently, Caitlyn Jenner hasn’t always trusted the Kardashians with her personal information. The star recently admitted that she did not want them to know about her gender reassignment surgery because she feared that they might release the news to the press before she could share the news in her own time.

Jenner explained that the family was given an advance read of her memoir Secrets of My Life, but the pages that discussed the surgery were removed. Caitlyn explained her reasoning to Piers Morgan.

“I didn’t want them to leak it to the press, okay? And there was no reason for them to know about it…of course I didn’t trust them.”

During Caitlyn’s transition it seemed that the entire family was quite supportive, but after her memoir came out things took a different turn. In the book Caitlyn made it seem like Kris Jenner had known about a lot more than she claimed to. Kris and some of the other family members did not feel like this was a fair thing to say.

The family has since cooled off from spending time with Caitlyn. They have been seen together at certain family functions but for the most part, they have been considered estranged, since the release of the book. Kim has been vocal about rallying behind her mom in the situation, but she has also mentioned that some of it is just related to time and alludes that everything will get back to normal at some point.

“We’re not that kind of family. We’re just taking a breather. We’ll get it together. It’ll work out.”
