Luke Bryan recently opened up about his biggest fear about being an a judge on the reboot of American Idol. The country star said that he has a hard time with the idea of telling someone talented that it’s just not quite their time, despite how talented they might end up becoming.
He said that early on in his own career he’s not sure that he would have made the cut himself.
“A lot of these people are talented. If I had been 17 or 18-years-old I don’t think I would have cut the mustard back then.”
Other judges in the upcoming season include Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Katy has already said that she will probably have a Simon Cowell type persona when it comes to communicating honestly with the contestants, despite how harsh some people take that forwardness to be.
Luke was nominated for the CMA Entertainer of the Year award, and early in 2018 he will kick off his “What Makes You Country” tour.
