Angelina Jolie, Javier Bardem, Gael García Bernal, and Helen Mirren will all be leading talks at the Toronto Film Festival.
The actors will be launching films at the festival in addition to speaking at it. The festival has also released information about their 2017 Discovery program which focuses on up and coming talent. Cameron Bailey, the festival’s artistic director, released a statement.
“If you don’t support the future of filmmaking, you fall behind. So we’re always looking for new talent. The fact that the Discovery program continues to grow is deeply encouraging, and speaks to the fact that there are a lot of people that want to make films when it is often increasingly more difficult to do so.”
