Betty White Shares Life Advice on Her 95th Birthday

Betty White is celebrating her 95th birthday, and she sat down with Katie Couric to talk about her life and making it over 75 years in the entertainment industry.

“I just appreciate the fact that people have been so kind to me all these years. The fact that I’m still working — that’s the thing I’m most grateful for, that I still get asked for jobs.”

The Golden Girls star also had some optimistic advice for dealing with the entry of the new president.

“It’s the time to buckle down and work positively as much as you can. Just think, ‘All right, there’s nothing I can do about that right now. But I can do my best in my little circle. So if I do that, maybe you’ll do your best and we’ll get through this.’”

Betty has also shared her advice in the past for living a full life into her older years.

“Don’t try to be young. Just open your mind. Stay interested in stuff. There are so many things I won’t live long enough to find out about, but I’m still curious about them.”
